Traditional craft meets modern performance

Blending age old hand craftmanship with modern performance specifications, we create enduring timber products with up to date double glazed units, giving high thermal performance and draft free.

Choose from our 14mm spacer double glazing or slim sightline Heritage style double glazing with solid through and through astragals.

SlimBar

Our slimBar is currently the best performing Sash and Case window within our range, both thermally and acoustically.

We manufacture our SlimBar windows using astragal overlay cassettes. Which gives all the benefits of a modern double-glazed window with high thermal efficiency and the appearance of a traditional sash and casement window. Come and see the difference in our showrooms.

Our black warm edge spacer bar is most popularly used in our SlimBar range, however you have other options, such as white, silver or bronze.

Sash and case windows have been part of Scottish life for generations. We’re delighted to be part of that tradition – while at the same time making them fit for purpose in today’s more environmentally aware conditions.

Heritage Windows

Our Heritage double-glazed units look just like single glazing due to their clever narrower cavities between the panes of glass. (4mm Glass, 4mm gas filled cavity, 4mm Glass).

They are an ideal choice for listed properties with their slim sightline. Please note that we can also accommodate single glazing where this is required.

We know conservation areas

We’re proudly knowledgeable about Scotland’s sash and case timber windows, their origins, influences and conservation laws. So, you’re in safe and very talented hands.

There’s no need to feel restricted- for example our Lambs Tongue and Ogee profile moulds in our Heritage style sash and case timber windows have been used in traditional buildings, listed buildings and conservation areas for years. From Edinburgh to St Andrews, Plockton to Isle of Arran, we visit all over Scotland and beyond, and also manufacture for clients to install themselves.

Our windows have been approved for Grade A, B and C Listed buildings for Conservation Areas.

Custom Made

All our windows are made to order, we will measure up the exact sizes and tailor to your preferences. Whether hardwood or redwood to suit your taste, our sash and case windows will last you a lifetime. We work with our customers, and their architects on the specification of new sash and case timber windows and directly with contractors and small builders.

And when it comes to the finish, we can match any RAL , Farrow & Ball or National Trust colour shades, or you can select from our range of rich traditional wood stains to emphasise the natural grain of the wood.

Our double-glazed units are filled with Argon gas to increase the thermal properties and we use warm edge spacer bars and soft Low E glass. And we can also supply with Krypton or Xenon for increased thermal properties.
