Grade B Listed Building

This grand Grade B listed building of 1770 was a initially a granary and a cart shed before becoming the village school and then latterly home to the village post office and shop – which are still open to this day. The upper floors have not been in use for some considerable time. Recently the owners, Broomhall Estates, decided to convert the upper floor into three high specification dwellings, and T J Ross were commissioned to manufacture all of the windows and external doors due to our extensive experience of conservation and Listed Building renovation projects.

Project Overview:

  • 5 new external doors
  • 13 Sash and Case windows
  • 5 Casement windows
  • 4 Fixed windows
  • Slimlite glazing fitted to all windows
  • All of the windows have through and through astragals

All of the windows are made from treated redwood with a hardwood cill using traditional manufacturing techniques and joints, and completely finished with a Teknos micro porous opaque stain before the high quality ironmongery is fitted. The hardwood external doors were finished and stained before being fitted with insurance approved 3 point door locking systems and superior brass fittings.
